Located safely outside of the Seattle Fault Zone, our Seattle, WA Softlayer datacenter has 55MW of existing electrical capacity as well as 45 on site generators with 500,000 gallons of on site fuel storage. Softlayer Seattle’s superior connections to Seattle’s robust fiber optic loops provide us with low latency – and that means high network efficiency for our clients.

Bandwidth / Routing

Qest and Internap supply bandwidth to Echoservers at Softlayer Dallas, providing us with a total network bandwidth of 30 Gigabits per second. Supported by state-of-the-art, industry-leading technology from Cisco and Foundry, this network is designed to be fault tolerant. Our partners ensure that we secure the edge over the competition – we can proudly guarantee less packet loss and higher throughput than our competitors. But it doesn’t stop there. We’re continually looking to increase bandwidth and redundancy across our entire network.

Security

Softlayer Seattle is a secure site which uses Proximity Security Badge Access to authorize movement around the building. They also use Digital Security Video Surveillance, enabling complete peace-of-mind that the datacenter, our servers, and your data, is secure.
