Softlayer Dallas is situated in the heart of the INFOMART telecom telecom hotel – a private, Tier III, N+1 facility close to downtown Dallas. The site benefits from three redundant TXU electrical grids, delivering power across the building, as well as five 100-ton water chillers for cooling purposes. Our servers at Softlayer Dallas are protected with 6 750Kva UPS Battery Backup Units, a Pre-Action Dry Pipe Fire Suppression system and redundant Liebert 30-ton HVAC units. In other words, we’ve got you covered.

Bandwidth / Routing

Global Crossing, Internap, SAVVIS, NTT / Verrio and Level 3 – these well-known providors all supply bandwidth to Echoservers at Softlayer Dallas, providing us with a total network bandwidth of 60 Gigabits per second. Supported by state-of-the-art, industry-leading technology from Cisco and Foundry, this network is designed to be fault tolerant. Our partners ensure that we secure the edge over the competition – we can proudly guarantee less packet loss and higher throughput than our competitors. But it doesn’t stop there. We’re continually looking to increase bandwidth and redundancy across our entire network.

Security

Softlayer Dallas is a secure site which uses Proximity Security Badge Access to authorize movement around the building. They also use Digital Security Video Surveillance, enabling complete peace-of-mind that the datacenter, our servers, and your data, is secure.
