Located in the Chicago Board of Trade Building, downtown Chicago, the Equinix Chicago datacenter offers us complete peace-of-mind. The Chicago Board of Trade is one of the largest financial institutions in the world, and with power supplied from 6 different substations, Equinox Chicago help us to ensure complete redundancy. Onsite Liebert Precision Power units clean and stabilize all power entering the datacenter, ensuring that your servers are not only safe, but completely reliable.

Bandwidth / Routing

Xeex, Comcast, nLayer, Internap, ATT and Telecom Italia – these well-known providors all supply bandwidth to Echoservers at Equinix, providing us with a total network bandwidth of over 90 Gigabits per second. They also help us to secure our edge over the competition – we can proudly guarantee less packet loss and higher throughput than our competitors. But it doesn’t stop there. We’re continually looking to increase bandwidth and redundancy across our entire network.

Security

Besides being patrolled by Chicago’s Police Department, the CBOT building uses a network of video suveillance cameras and is manned by security guards around the clock. Photographic identification is required by tennants, and visitors are carefully screened before accessing the building. The transport of equipment in and out of the CBOT required prior permission. All of these finely-tuned precautions are in place to ensure that our servers, and your data, are secure.
